May. 10, 2017 / By: Hunter Fangmeyer
Diversity and inclusion is in the heart of everything that we do, and has always been a Big Omaha. Our speakers, attendees, and panels reflect this, and we are happy to introduce you to Margenett Moore-Roberts, our Big Omaha speaker who will also be running our speaker panel on diversity and inclusion.
Margenett grew up in Ohio and moved to New York City a few years after graduating from Otterbein University, and was the first person to finish college in her family. Since then, Margenett has enjoyed a career in Digital Media for more than 15 years, holding roles across Sales, Account Management, Operations, Client Services and Human Resources. This wide range of experience has given her insight into how a company works, head to toe.
Most recently, Margenett has taken on the new challenge of establishing and leading Yahoo’s Office of Inclusive Diversity. As the Global Head of Inclusive Diversity, Margenett is leading Yahoo’s efforts to develop a more inclusive culture and promoting diversity as a core differentiator and mission-critical business imperative for the company. Under Margenett’s leadership, the Office of Inclusive Diversity partners with executive leadership and other key groups across the company, to leverage the power of diversity to activate new markets, unlock innovation and maximize value for Yahoo.
Margenett will be leading our Diversity Panel at Big Omaha. This panel will discuss the difficult and often controversial topics when dealing with diversity and inclusion in both the startup community and beyond.
Time is ticking, so make sure to get your tickets to Big Omaha soon to learn more about diversity and inclusion.
